Biography
Tom Klink is a bassoonist currently studying, teaching, and working in Austin, Texas. He is actively pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Texas at Austin, studying under bassoon professor Kristin Wolfe-Jensen. Tom earned his master’s degree at the University of Texas as well, and previous to that, he received his bachelor's degree at Vanderbilt University under the tutelage of bassoon professor Peter Kolkay. Tom has attended Summer festivals such as Brevard Music Center, Eastern Music Festival, and most recently was awarded a fellowship in the Sarasota Music Festival’s 2024 season. Tom currently teaches a growing studio of young bassoon players in the Austin area, and serves as the teaching assistant for the UT Austin bassoon studio. Tom is a passionate performer of solo and chamber music for the bassoon.
